Ingredients
  

  • 4 cups cups bread flour or all-purpose flour
  • 2 1/4 teaspoons teaspoons active dry yeast or instant yeast
  • 2 teaspoons teaspoons salt
  • 1 3/4 cups cups warm water
  • 1/4 cup cup extra virgin olive oil plus extra for drizzling
  • 2 tablespoons tablespoons fresh rosemary leaves
  • coarse sea salt for sprinkling

Instructions
 

  • In a large bowl, combine warm water and yeast, letting it sit for 5 minutes until frothy.
  • Add flour, salt, and olive oil to the bowl, mixing until a dough forms.
  • Knead the dough for 10 minutes until smooth, then let it rise in a warm place for 20 minutes.
  • Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C). Transfer dough to a baking sheet, shape into a rectangle, and dimple with fingers.
  • Drizzle with olive oil, sprinkle with rosemary and sea salt, then bake for 15-20 minutes until golden.

Notes

For an extra flavorful focaccia, use high-quality olive oil and fresh rosemary.
