  • 2 large chicken breasts or 4 medium chicken cutlets
  • 1 teaspoon Italian herb seasoning
  • Salt and pepper Salt and pepper to taste
  • ½ cup all-purpose flour
  • Olive oil Olive oil for searing
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • ½ cup chicken broth
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice, freshly squeezed plus more to taste
  • 1 cup heavy cream do not substitute
  • Salt and pepper Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh chopped Italian parsley Parsley (for garnish)
  • Lemon slices Lemon slices (for garnish)

Instructions
 

  • Slice chicken and pound to even thickness. Season with salt, pepper, and Italian herbs; dredge in flour.
  • Heat olive oil in a skillet; sear chicken until golden and cooked through. Remove and set aside.
  • Melt butter, sauté garlic, then add chicken broth and lemon juice; simmer briefly.
  • Stir in heavy cream, season with salt and pepper, then return chicken to pan. Simmer until sauce thickens.
  • Serve garnished with lemon slices and parsley. Enjoy!

Notes

Use fresh lemon juice for the best flavor and adjust lemon to taste.
