Ingredients
  

Dry Ingredients

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder

Wet Ingredients

  • 3/4 cup butter
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 1 1/3 cups granulated sugar divided
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 large egg yolk
  • 3/4 cup chocolate chips

Instructions
 

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a 9x9-inch pan with parchment and spray.
  • Mix dry ingredients in a bowl. Melt butter with oil and 1/3 cup sugar, then cool.
  • Whisk eggs and remaining sugar, then gradually add the melted butter mixture, whisking continuously.
  • Fold in dry ingredients and chocolate chips gently. Pour into pan and smooth.
  • Bake for 30 minutes, cool completely before slicing.

Notes

For extra fudginess, slightly underbake by a few minutes.
