Easy Caramel Apple Cinnamon Rolls

Ingredients
  

Dough and Filling

  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 2 cups diced Granny Smith Apples about 2 medium apples or 200g
  • 2 tablespoons granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1 can crescent rolls 8 rolls
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • ¼ cup packed brown sugar 50g
  • 2-3 tablespoons heavy whipping cream
  • ½ cup powdered sugar 57g
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla

Instructions
 

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment.
  • Melt butter, cook apples with cinnamon and sugar until translucent, then cool.
  • Unroll crescent dough, press seams, spread apples, roll up, and slice into 8 pieces. Place on baking sheet.
  • Bake for 15-25 minutes until golden.
  • Make frosting by melting butter and brown sugar, then whisk in powdered sugar, vanilla, and cream. Drizzle over warm rolls.

Notes

You can skip the frosting and serve with caramel ice cream topping for extra indulgence.
