Easy Beef Lo Mein Stir Fry

Ingredients
  

Meat

  • 1 lb beef sirloin, thinly sliced against the grain
  • 8 oz fresh egg noodles
  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 1 tbsp sesame oil
  • 1 red bell pepper red bell pepper, julienned
  • 1 carrot carrot, julienned
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tbsp fresh ginger, minced
  • 3 green onions green onions, sliced
  • 3 tbsp soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp oyster sauce
  • 1 tbsp brown sugar
  • 0.5 cup vegetable broth
  • 1 tsp cornstarch

Instructions
 

  • Prepare all ingredients: slice beef, julienne vegetables, mince garlic and ginger, and mix sauces.
  • Cook noodles in boiling water for 2-3 minutes, drain, toss with a teaspoon of oil, and set aside.
  • Heat a large skillet or wok over high heat, add 1 tbsp vegetable oil, sear beef for 30 seconds per side, then remove.
  • Add remaining oil, stir-fry garlic and ginger for 30 seconds, then add vegetables and cook 2-3 minutes.
  • Return beef to pan, add noodles, pour sauce, toss for 1-2 minutes until thickened, then stir in green onions and sesame oil. Serve immediately.

Notes

Use high heat for stir-frying to prevent sticking and ensure quick cooking.
