Ingredients
  

  • 1 lb ground beef (or ground turkey, if preferred)
  • 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/4 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 cup finely chopped onion
  • 1/4 cup chopped green bell pepper (optional)
  • 1 tablespoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 tablespoons ketchup (optional, for glaze)
  • Salt to taste

Instructions
 

  • Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper or lightly grease it.
  • Combine all ingredients in a large mixing bowl and mix until well combined.
  • Scoop out small portions of the mixture and roll into 1-inch meatballs.
  • Place the meatballs on the prepared baking sheet, spaced apart.
  • Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until browned and cooked through (internal temperature 160°F or 71°C).
  • Optional: Brush with ketchup and Worcestershire glaze 5 minutes before done.
  • Let rest a few minutes, then serve warm with your favorite dipping sauce.

Notes

For an extra burst of flavor, serve the Donkey Balls with ranch, BBQ sauce, or hot sauce.
