  • ½ cup water
  • 3 tablespoons granulated sugar
  • 2 ¼ teaspoons active dry yeast (or one packet)
  • 1 ½ teaspoons salt
  • 1 large egg

  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter (at room temperature, cut into cubes)
  • 1 tablespoon melted butter (for brushing on rolls after baking)

Instructions

  • Warm milk and water to 110-115°F, then combine in a bowl. Add sugar and yeast, let sit 5-10 min until foamy.

  • Cover rolls and let rise 20 min. Preheat oven to 375°F. Bake for 19-23 min until golden.
  • Brush baked rolls with melted butter and serve warm.
