  • 1/4 cup Potato Flakes (Can substitute with cooked mashed potatoes)
  • 1/4 cup Honey (Use maple syrup or agave for vegan option)
  • 1/2 cup Orange Juice (Lemon juice can be substituted)
  • 2 teaspoons Yeast (Instant yeast can be substituted with active dry yeast)
  • 1/2 cup Butter (Use olive oil for a dairy-free option)
  • to taste Herbs or Seasonings (Try rosemary or garlic powder for flavor)

Instructions
 

  • Mix warm orange juice, honey, and yeast; let sit until frothy, about 5 minutes.
  • Combine flour, potato flakes, herbs, and salt in a large bowl.
  • Add the yeast mixture and melted butter; knead until smooth and elastic, about 8 minutes.
  • Let the dough rise in a warm place until doubled in size, about 1 hour.
  • Divide dough into 12 pieces, shape into rolls, and place on a baking sheet.
  • Bake at 375°F (190°C) for 15-20 minutes until golden brown.

Notes

For a vegan version, substitute honey with maple syrup and butter with olive oil.
