Ingredients
  

Meat

  • 4 ounces cube steaks
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 small yellow onion, sliced
  • 6 ounces button mushrooms, sliced
  • 1 can cream of mushroom soup 10.5 ounces
  • 1 can French onion soup 10.5 ounces
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 3 tablespoons tomato paste
  • 2 tablespoons cornstarch
  • 2 tablespoons cold water
  • 2 tablespoons fresh chopped parsley

Instructions
 

  • Pat steaks dry and season with salt, garlic powder, onion powder, and black pepper.
  • Layer steaks with sliced onions and mushrooms in the crock pot.
  • Whisk together mushroom soup, onion soup, beef broth, and tomato paste; pour over ingredients.
  • Cook on LOW for 7-8 hours or HIGH for 4-5 hours until meat is tender.
  • In the last hour, mix cornstarch with cold water and stir into gravy for thickening.
  • Serve steaks topped with mushroom gravy, with sides like mashed potatoes or rice.

Notes

For best results, ensure steaks are thoroughly dried before seasoning for optimal browning.
