Instructions
Mix cornstarch, flour, baking powder, salt, and pepper. Dip chicken pieces into beaten egg and water mixture, then coat with the dry mixture.
Heat vegetable oil in a deep pan and fry coated chicken until golden and cooked through. Drain on paper towels.
In a saucepan, combine honey, soy sauce, garlic, rice vinegar, sesame oil, ginger, and red pepper flakes. Bring to a simmer.
Add cornstarch mixed with water to thicken the sauce if desired. Toss fried chicken in the sauce until well coated.
Garnish with sesame seeds and chopped green onions before serving.
Notes
For extra crispiness, double fry the chicken.
