Ingredients
  

Cake Mix

  • 1 package devil's food cake mix such as Duncan Hines®
  • 1 cup water
  • 3 eggs eggs
  • 0.33 cup vegetable oil
  • 1.5 pounds prepared vanilla frosting
  • 7 ounce prepared chocolate frosting

Instructions
 

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line muffin tins with paper liners.
  • Mix cake ingredients; fill muffin cups 3/4 full. Bake for 18-20 minutes, then cool.
  • Frost cupcakes with white frosting; refrigerate for 30 minutes.
  • Apply second frosting layer. Use chocolate frosting to draw skull faces with piping bag.

Notes

Chill cupcakes before decorating for easier frosting application.
