lemon zested and juiced (seeds removed)

heavy whipping cream

freshly fine grated parmesan reggiano cheese
Garnish
to taste
cracked black pepper (extra lemon zest, extra cheese)
Instructions
Cook pasta in salted boiling water until al dente, then drain.
In a skillet, cook black pepper in butter until fragrant, then whisk in flour and cook briefly.
Add broth and cream, simmer until slightly thickened, then remove from heat.
Combine cooked pasta with lemon zest and juice, toss to coat, adding pasta water if needed.
Stir in parmesan, season with salt and pepper, garnish with extra lemon zest, cheese, and black pepper. Serve immediately.
Notes
For extra flavor, add chopped parsley or basil as a garnish.
