Ingredients

  • 4 pieces boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 0.5 teaspoon black pepper
  • 0.5 teaspoon paprika
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 3 tablespoons butter
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 0.25 cup fresh lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon lemon zest
  • 1 teaspoon dried Italian seasoning
  • 0.5 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes (optional)
  • 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley

Instructions
 

  • Season chicken with salt, pepper, and paprika.
  • Cook chicken in olive oil until golden, then set aside.
  • Sauté garlic in butter, add chicken broth, then stir in cream, lemon juice, zest, seasonings, and red pepper flakes. Simmer.
  • Return chicken to skillet, spoon sauce, and cook briefly. Garnish with parsley.

Notes

For a lighter version, use half-and-half instead of heavy cream.
