  • 1 lb large shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ½ tsp black pepper
  • 2 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream or half-and-half
  • ½ cup chicken broth
  • ½ cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • ¼ tsp red pepper flakes (optional)

Garnish

  • Fresh parsley, chopped for garnish

Instructions
 

  • Season the shrimp with salt and pepper. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat, cook shrimp 2-3 minutes per side until pink, then set aside.
  • Add butter to the same skillet, melt, then cook minced garlic for 1 minute until fragrant.
  • Pour in chicken broth to deglaze, simmer 2-3 minutes. Stir in heavy cream, Parmesan, Italian seasoning, and red pepper flakes. Simmer until sauce thickens, about 3-4 minutes.
  • Return shrimp to skillet, toss to coat, warm through 2 minutes, then remove from heat. Garnish with chopped parsley and serve.
