Creamy Garlic Pasta

Ingredients
  

Pasta

  • 12 oz fettuccine or spaghetti
  • 2 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 cups heavy cream
  • ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 tsp salt
  • ½ tsp black pepper
  • 1 tbsp chopped parsley (optional, for garnish)

Instructions
 

  • Cook the pasta in salted boiling water until al dente, then drain and set aside.
  • Melt butter in a skillet, sauté garlic until fragrant, then add heavy cream and simmer for 5 minutes.
  • Stir in Parmesan, salt, and pepper until smooth.
  • Add cooked pasta to the sauce, tossing to coat. Add reserved pasta water if needed for desired consistency.
  • Garnish with parsley and serve warm.

Notes

For a lighter version, use half-and-half instead of heavy cream.
