Ingredients
  

Protein

  • 1 pound chicken breast diced
  • 1 cup mushrooms sliced
  • 1 cup rice long-grain or jasmine
  • 2 cups chicken broth
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 whole onion chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme
  • to taste salt and pepper salt and pepper

Garnish

  • to taste parsley fresh parsley chopped for garnish

Instructions
 

  • Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Prepare ingredients.
  • In an oven-safe skillet, sauté onion in olive oil until translucent, then add garlic and thyme. Add chicken, season, and brown slightly.
  • Add mushrooms and cook until soft. Stir in rice, then pour in broth and cream. Mix well.
  • Cover and bake for 25-30 minutes until rice is tender and chicken is cooked through. Garnish with parsley before serving.

Notes

Ensure rice is fully submerged in liquid for even cooking.
