Ingredients
  

Dough

  • 1 egg yolk egg yolk at room temp
  • 2 sticks salted butter at room temp
  • 2/3 cup sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 2 cups flour
  • 1 cup cranberry sauce made from cranberries, orange juice/zest, sugar
  • 1/2 cup white chocolate chips
  • 1/2 cup sliced almonds

Instructions
 

  • If making cranberry sauce, cook cranberries, orange juice/zest, and sugar until thickened, then cool.
  • Cream butter, sugar, salt, vanilla, and egg yolk until fluffy.
  • Add flour gradually to form a crumbly dough.
  • Press two-thirds of dough into a lined pan, spread cranberry sauce, then top with chocolate chips and almonds.
  • Crumble remaining dough on top, press lightly, and bake at 350°F (175°C) for 30-35 minutes. Cool before slicing.
