Instructions
If making cranberry sauce, cook cranberries, orange juice/zest, and sugar until thickened, then cool.
Cream butter, sugar, salt, vanilla, and egg yolk until fluffy.
Add flour gradually to form a crumbly dough.
Press two-thirds of dough into a lined pan, spread cranberry sauce, then top with chocolate chips and almonds.
Crumble remaining dough on top, press lightly, and bake at 350°F (175°C) for 30-35 minutes. Cool before slicing.
Notes
Store in the fridge for up to a week for best freshness.
