Ingredients
  

Baking Essentials

  • 1 cup salted butter (at room temperature)
  • 1 cup white sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 1.5 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2 cups all purpose flour (spooned and levelled*)
  • 0.5 tsp baking soda
  • 0.5 tsp baking powder
  • 0.25 tsp salt
  • 10 cookies oreo cookies (plus 2-3 more for adding on top)

Instructions
 

  • Preheat oven to 350 F and line trays with parchment paper.
  • Crush 10 Oreo cookies in a zip lock bag and set aside.
  • Cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy, about 5 minutes.
  • Add egg and vanilla, mix well, then combine with dry ingredients.
  • Fold in crushed Oreos, scoop dough onto trays, and add extra Oreos on top.
  • Bake for 11 minutes until golden brown, then cool on the sheet.

Notes

Cookies may look underdone but will firm up as they cool.
