Ingredients
  

Mashed Potatoes

  • 2 cups creamy mashed potatoes

Ground Meat

  • 1 pound lean ground venison (or any favorite game meat)

Vegetable Oil

  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil

Vegetables

  • 1 red onion chopped red onion
  • 2 cloves minced garlic
  • 2 stalks diced celery
  • 1/2 cup chopped red bell pepper

Sauces & Seasonings

  • 1 tablespoon worcestershire sauce
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper

Eggs & Dairy

  • 2 whisked eggs eggs, whisked
  • 1 cup cottage cheese

Cheese

  • 1 cup grated colby jack or cheddar cheese

Tomatoes

  • 2 sliced tomatoes sliced tomatoes

Instructions
 

  • Cook ground venison with diced celery, chopped onion, garlic, and seasonings until browned.
  • Mix in worcestershire sauce, whisked eggs, cottage cheese, and red bell pepper.
  • Spread mashed potatoes in a baking dish, top with the venison mixture, sliced tomatoes, and grated cheese.
  • Bake at 375°F (190°C) for 25-30 minutes until cheese is melted and bubbly.

Notes

For a richer flavor, let the casserole rest for 5 minutes before serving.
