Ingredients
  

Filling

  • 4 cups fresh strawberries, hulled
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 3 tablespoons corn starch
  • 3/4 cup water
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream

Crust

  • 1 9 inch baked pie crust

Instructions
 

  • Prepare the pie crust and set aside.
  • In a saucepan, combine strawberries, sugar, corn starch, and water.
  • Cook over medium heat until thickened, stirring frequently.
  • Pour the strawberry mixture into the prepared pie crust.
  • Chill in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours.
  • Serve with whipped heavy cream on top.

Notes

For a richer flavor, add a splash of vanilla extract to the filling.
