Ingredients
  

Peaches

  • 8 cups fresh peaches, peeled and sliced about 6-7 large peaches
  • 1 cup granulated sugar (for peaches)
  • 0.5 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 0.25 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 2 teaspoons cornstarch (optional, for thickening)

Batter

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup granulated sugar (for batter)
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 0.5 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup whole milk
  • 0.5 cup unsalted butter, melted and slightly cooled
  • 2 tablespoons granulated sugar mixed with ground cinnamon for sprinkling on top

Instructions
 

  • Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
  • Combine peaches with sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, lemon juice, and cornstarch. Let sit for 10 minutes.
  • Mix flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt. Add milk and melted butter; stir until smooth.
  • Pour batter into prepared dish. Spoon peaches over the batter without stirring.
  • Sprinkle cinnamon-sugar mixture on top. Bake for 40-45 minutes until golden and a toothpick comes out clean.

Notes

Serve warm with vanilla ice cream or whipped cream for extra indulgence.
