Ingredients
  

Butter and Sugar

  • 1/2 cup salted butter (at room temperature)
  • 1 cup white granulated sugar

Eggs and Vanilla

  • 3 large eggs (at room temperature)
  • 2 teaspoon vanilla extract (or vanilla bean paste)

Dry Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups all purpose flour (spooned and levelled)
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon baking powder

Wet Ingredients

  • 1/3 cup full-fat sour cream (at room temperature)
  • 3 Tablespoons brown sugar
  • 1 Tablespoon cinnamon
  • 1 Tablespoon milk
  • 2 Tablespoons brown sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon

Instructions
 

  • Preheat oven to 325°F and grease your loaf pan.
  • Cream butter and sugar, then add eggs and vanilla; mix well.
  • Mix dry ingredients; alternate adding to wet mixture with sour cream.
  • Divide batter; add cinnamon swirl ingredients to one part. Layer plain and cinnamon batters in pan, swirl with a knife.
  • Sprinkle cinnamon sugar topping, then bake for 55-65 minutes. Cool before serving.

Notes

Ensure not to overmix the batter to keep the cake tender.
