Instructions
Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and lightly grease a 9x13 inch baking dish.
Cube the bread and set aside.
In a saucepan, melt butter and stir in cinnamon and nutmeg. Pour over bread cubes in a large bowl.
Whisk eggs, almond milk, maple syrup, vanilla, and salt. Pour over bread mixture and toss gently.
Transfer mixture to prepared baking dish and bake for 45 minutes until golden and set. Serve topped with powdered sugar, whipped cream, and berries.
Notes
Using day-old bread helps absorb the custard better for a fluffier casserole.
