Ingredients
  

Dry Ingredients

  • 1.5 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1.5 teaspoons baking powder
  • 0.5 teaspoon salt

Wet Ingredients

  • 0.5 cup unsalted butter, softened (1 stick)
  • 0.5 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 2 large eggs
  • 0.5 cup milk

Apple Mixture

  • 0.5 cup light brown sugar (packed)
  • 1.5 teaspoons ground cinnamon
  • 1 large apple (peeled, cored, and chopped into small pieces)

Topping

  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 0.25 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 3/4 cups confectioners’ sugar
  • 0.25 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 2 tablespoons water

Instructions
 

  • Preheat oven to 350°F. Grease and flour an 8.5x4.5-inch loaf pan.
  • Whisk together flour, baking powder, and salt. Beat butter, sugar, and vanilla until smooth. Beat in eggs, then mix in flour mixture and milk alternately.
  • Combine brown sugar, cinnamon, and apples. Layer half the batter, half the apple mixture, and repeat. Swirl with a knife.
  • Sprinkle with cinnamon sugar mixture. Bake for 45-55 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  • Let cool for 15-20 minutes, then whisk glaze ingredients and drizzle over bread. Cool completely before slicing.
