Instructions
Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Whisk flour and baking soda, set aside.
Cream butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until fluffy. Mix in salt and vanilla.
Add eggs one at a time, mix well. Gradually add flour mixture until combined.
Fold in chocolate chips and nuts (if using). Chill dough for 30 minutes.
Scoop dough onto parchment-lined sheets, bake 10-12 minutes until golden.
Let cool 5 minutes on sheets, then transfer to wire rack to cool completely.
