Ingredients
  

Pasta

  • 16 ounces dry fettuccine pasta

Chicken

  • 1 pound boneless, skinless chicken breasts

Seasonings and oils

  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 3/4 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper
  • 2 tablespoons extra-virgin olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 1/2 cup butter (, cut into large cubes or slices)

Sauce ingredients

  • 2 cups heavy whipping cream
  • 1 clove garlic (, minced)
  • 3/4 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 3/4 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper
  • 2 cups freshly grated Parmesan cheese

Instructions
 

  • Cook the fettuccine until al dente, then drain and set aside.
  • Season chicken with Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper; cook in olive oil until golden, then add butter and cook through. Rest, slice, and set aside.
  • In the same pan, melt butter with cream, add garlic, seasonings, and simmer until thickened. Stir in Parmesan until smooth.
  • Combine sauce with cooked pasta, then top with sliced chicken. Garnish as desired.

Notes

For a lighter version, use half-and-half instead of heavy cream.
