Ingredients
  

Pasta

  • 1.0 pound large shells pasta
  • 1 tablespoon canola oil

Ground Beef

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 medium yellow onion diced
  • 4 cloves garlic minced
  • 2 tablespoons taco seasoning
  • 0.5 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon red pepper flakes
  • 0.75 cup water
  • 1 cup jarred salsa
  • 1.5 cups cheddar cheese shredded

Salt

  • to taste Salt

Pepper

  • to taste Pepper

Additional Toppings

  • Crushed tortilla chips
  • Sour cream
  • Chopped parsley

Instructions
 

  • Cook pasta according to package instructions, then drain and set aside.
  • In a skillet, heat oil over medium-high heat, cook ground beef until browned, then drain excess fat.
  • Add onion and garlic, cook for 1 minute, then stir in seasonings, Worcestershire, water, and cook until water evaporates.
  • Mix in cooked pasta, salsa, and cheese; stir until cheese melts and everything is combined.
  • Serve immediately topped with crushed tortilla chips, sour cream, and parsley.

Notes

For extra flavor, add a squeeze of lime or hot sauce.
