Ingredients
  

Meat

  • 1 lb ground beef

Vegetables

  • 1 unit onion, chopped
  • 1 clove garlic, minced

Grains

  • 1 cup long-grain rice, uncooked

Liquids

  • 2 cups beef broth
  • 1 can cream of mushroom soup (10.75 oz)

Dairy

  • 1 cup cheddar cheese, shredded

Spices

  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika

Garnish

  • 1/4 cup fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions
 

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9x13 inch baking dish.
  • Cook ground beef, onion, and garlic in a skillet until beef is browned; drain fat.
  • Add rice, beef broth, and mushroom soup; season and simmer for 5 minutes.
  • Transfer to baking dish, cover with foil, and bake for 25 minutes.
  • Remove foil, add cheese, and bake uncovered for 10-15 minutes until cheese is melted.
  • Garnish with parsley before serving.

Notes

For extra flavor, consider adding your favorite vegetables to the mix.
