Instructions
Melt butter in a skillet, cook garlic until fragrant, then stir in flour.
Whisk in broth and milk, simmer until thickened, about 5 minutes.
Add salsa verde, chilies, salt, pepper, chicken, rice, sour cream, and 1 cup cheese; mix well. Transfer to a greased baking dish.
Broil with remaining cheese until bubbly and golden, 2-3 minutes. Garnish with cilantro if desired.
Notes
Use cooked chicken and rice for quick assembly. Broil just until cheese is golden to prevent burning.
