Ingredients
  

Bread

  • 1 loaf large round sourdough or Italian bread loaf approximately 1 pound, 8-9 inches diameter

Butter

  • ½ cup unsalted butter softened to room temperature

Garlic

  • 4-6 cloves garlic, minced

Fresh Parsley

  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, finely chopped

Italian Seasoning

  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning

Salt

  • ¼ teaspoon salt

Black Pepper

  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper, freshly ground

Mozzarella Cheese

  • cups mozzarella cheese, shredded

Sharp Cheddar Cheese

  • ½ cup sharp cheddar cheese, shredded

Parmesan Cheese

  • ¼ cup Parmesan cheese, grated

Olive Oil

  • 2 tablespoons olive oil (optional)

Red Pepper Flakes

  • ½ teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)

Green Onions

  • 2 tablespoons green onions, sliced (optional)

Instructions
 

  • Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • Cut the bread loaf into a grid pattern without cutting all the way through.
  • Mix softened butter, minced garlic, parsley, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Spread between the cuts and over the top.
  • Stuff shredded cheeses into the cuts and drizzle with olive oil if using.
  • Bake for 15 minutes until cheese is melted and bubbly. Garnish with green onions if desired.

Notes

For extra flavor, brush the bread with olive oil before baking and add red pepper flakes for a spicy kick.
