Bread

  • 1 loaf sourdough or crusty Italian bread loaf
  • 1.5 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 0.5 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 3 cloves garlic, finely minced
  • 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley
  • 0.25 teaspoon salt
  • Optional Crushed red pepper flakes or Italian seasoning Optional for extra flavor

Instructions
 

  • Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet.
  • Cut a 1-inch grid into the loaf without cutting through the bottom crust.
  • Mix melted butter, garlic, parsley, and salt. Stuff cheese into the cuts.
  • Brush the loaf with garlic butter and wrap in foil. Bake for 15 minutes.
  • Unwrap and bake for another 10-15 minutes until golden and melted.
  • Let rest for 5 minutes before serving.

Notes

For extra flavor, sprinkle with red pepper flakes or Italian seasoning before baking.
