Cheesy Christmas Tree Bread

Ingredients
  

Dough

  • 13 ounces canned refrigerator pizza dough
  • 6-7 sticks mozzarella cheese sticks

Egg Wash

  • 1 large egg
  • 1 tablespoon water for egg wash

Herb Butter

  • 3 tablespoons butter melted
  • 1/2 cup grated parmesan cheese divided
  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley finely chopped
  • 1/2 tablespoon fresh rosemary finely chopped
  • 1/2 tablespoon fresh basil finely chopped
  • 1 clove garlic grated

Dipping Sauce

  • 1 jar marinara and/or pesto for dipping

Instructions
 

  • Preheat oven to 400°F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • Cut dough into 30 squares and mozzarella sticks into 30 pieces. Wrap each piece of cheese with dough, sealing into balls.
  • Arrange balls in a tree shape on the baking sheet, seam side down. Brush with egg wash.
  • Bake for 16-18 minutes until golden. Meanwhile, melt butter and mix with half of parmesan, garlic, and herbs. Brush over baked bread and sprinkle remaining parmesan.
  • Serve warm with marinara or pesto for dipping.

Notes

For best results, ensure cheese sticks are bite-sized and seal dough well to prevent cheese leakage.
