Cajun Steak Tips in Cheesy Rigatoni Parmesan Sauce

Ingredients
  

Meat

  • 1 lb steak tips (sirloin or ribeye), cut into bite-sized pieces

Pasta

  • 10 oz rigatoni pasta

Dairy

  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 3/4 cup Parmesan cheese, grated
  • 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella or Fontina cheese (optional)

Seasonings & Oils

  • 1 tbsp Cajun seasoning (plus more to taste)
  • 2 garlic cloves minced garlic
  • 2 tbsp butter (divided)
  • 1 tbsp olive oil

Seasonings & Notes

  • Salt and black pepper to taste Salt and black pepper

Instructions
 

  • Season steak tips with Cajun seasoning. Sear in olive oil and 1 tbsp butter until browned. Remove and set aside.
  • Cook rigatoni in salted boiling water until al dente. Drain, reserving 1/2 cup pasta water.
  • Sauté garlic in remaining butter. Add heavy cream and simmer. Stir in Parmesan and optional cheese. Season with salt, pepper, and more Cajun if desired.
  • Combine pasta with sauce, adding reserved pasta water to thin. Fold in steak tips. Serve immediately with extra Parmesan and black pepper.

Notes

For extra flavor, sprinkle additional Cajun seasoning or fresh herbs before serving.
