Ingredients
  

Salmon

  • 1.5 lbs salmon fillet plus olive oil, salt and pepper for seasoning
  • 0.5 cup soy sauce
  • 0.5 cup brown sugar
  • 4 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 3 tbsp lemon juice
  • 0.25 cup salted butter
  • 0.5 tsp salt
  • 0.5 tsp ground black pepper

Instructions
 

  • Bring salmon to room temp: Let salmon sit out for 10–15 minutes while preheating the oven to 375°F.
  • Prepare the baking dish: Place salmon skin-side down in a baking dish, brush with olive oil, and season with salt and pepper.
  • Make the glaze: Combine soy sauce, brown sugar, garlic, lemon juice, butter, salt, and pepper in a saucepan. Heat until melted and smooth.
  • Assemble and bake: Pour sauce over salmon, cover with foil, and bake for 10 to 25 minutes. Broil for 2–3 minutes for caramelization if desired.
  • Finish and serve: Let rest, transfer to a platter, drizzle with extra sauce, and serve over rice, noodles, or veggies.

Notes

For best results, use fresh salmon and adjust cooking time based on thickness.
