Ingredients
  

Crust

  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 3/4 cup unsalted butter, melted

Filling

  • 2 cups fresh blackberries or thawed, drained frozen
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup fresh lemon juice
  • 1 tablespoon lemon zest

For dusting

  • to taste powdered sugar for dusting

Instructions
 

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a 9x9-inch pan with parchment paper.
  • Mix flour, powdered sugar, and salt. Add melted butter and press into pan. Bake 15–18 minutes.
  • Purée blackberries and strain to remove seeds, yielding about ¾ cup.
  • Whisk eggs and sugar, then add lemon juice, zest, flour, and blackberry puree. Pour over crust.
  • Bake 22–25 minutes until set. Cool completely, dust with powdered sugar, and cut into 16 squares.

Notes

Use fresh blackberries for best flavor. Store in an airtight container.
