Ingredients
  

Dough and Crust

  • 1 1/2 cups flour
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar (packed)
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/8 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter
  • 1 large egg yolk

Filling

  • 2 cups fresh blackberries
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch

Instructions
 

  • Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and spray an 8x8 inch pan.
  • Combine flour, sugars, baking powder, salt, butter, and egg yolk in a food processor; pulse until crumbly.
  • Press half the dough into the prepared pan.
  • Mix blackberries, lemon juice, sugar, and cornstarch; pour over crust.
  • Crumble remaining dough over the berries and bake for 40-45 minutes until golden.

Notes

Chill before serving for best results.
