Ingredients
Meat & Spices
1
lb
ground beef
2
tsp
cumin
1
tsp
garlic powder
1
tsp
chili powder
1
tsp
oregano
0.5
tsp
smoked paprika
1
cup
chicken broth or bone broth
Instructions
Add salt to both sides of the ground beef. If using a block, cut it in half and salt both sides of each half.
Heat a large skillet to medium-high heat. Cook the ground beef for 2 minutes on each side, then break it up and cook until browned.
Add all spices and stir to combine. Cook for 1 minute to allow the flavors to meld.
Add the broth, reduce heat to low, and simmer for 4-5 minutes until the liquid is almost gone.
Turn off the heat and serve the taco meat warm.
Notes
For a healthier option, use lean ground beef and drain excess fat before adding spices.
