Ingredients

  • 3 cups all-purpose flour spooned and levelled
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon baking powder

Wet Ingredients

  • 1 cup butter room temperature
  • 1 cup brown sugar firmly packed
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 2 large eggs room temperature
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 2 cups chocolate chips

Instructions
 

  • Preheat oven to 375°F and line baking sheets with parchment paper.
  • Whisk together flour, baking soda, salt, and baking powder in a bowl.
  • Cream butter, sugar, and brown sugar until pale and fluffy.
  • Beat in eggs one at a time, then add vanilla extract.
  • Fold in dry ingredients and chocolate chips.
  • Roll dough into balls, place on sheets, and bake for 8-11 minutes.

Notes

For chewier cookies, slightly underbake them.
