Ingredients
  

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour spooned & levelled
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 0.5 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 0.25 teaspoon salt
  • 0.5 cup unsalted butter room temperature
  • 0.75 cup brown sugar firmly packed
  • 2 large eggs room temperature
  • 0.333 cup sour cream or plain yogurt room temperature
  • 2 cups mashed bananas about 4 large ripe bananas
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 0.75 cup chopped pecans/walnuts/chocolate chips

Instructions
 

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease an 8x5 inch loaf pan.
  • Whisk together flour, baking soda, salt, and cinnamon in a medium bowl.
  • Beat butter and brown sugar until creamy. Add eggs, sour cream, bananas, and vanilla.
  • Mix in dry ingredients until combined. Fold in nuts or chocolate chips.
  • Bake for 55-65 minutes until a toothpick comes out clean. Let cool for 30 minutes before slicing.

Notes

For the best flavor, use very ripe bananas with brown spots.
