Instructions
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees and line two 8x4 bread pans with parchment paper or grease well with butter or baking spray.
Mash the bananas until well mashed with small bits for texture and set aside.
Cream the butter and sugar together, then add the eggs and mix until combined.
Add the flour, baking soda, and salt. Mix until combined, then incorporate the mashed bananas and vanilla extract.
Divide the batter evenly between the two pans and bake for 35-40 minutes, or until a cake tester comes out clean.
Let the bread cool for 5-10 minutes in the pan, then remove and cool on a wire rack. Serve warm or with butter.
Notes
For an extra delicious treat, spread a little butter on the warm banana bread before serving.
