Beef Stroganoff Easy One-Pot Recipe

Ingredients
  

Meat

  • 2 pounds beef sirloin steak thinly sliced into strips
  • 4 tablespoons butter
  • 1 medium onion finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 8 ounces mushrooms sliced
  • 3 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • 2 cups beef broth
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 cup sour cream room temperature
  • 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard

For serving

  • 12 ounces cooked medium egg noodles or cooked rice for serving

Garnish

  • fresh parsley chopped for garnish

Instructions
 

  • Slice the beef into 1/3-inch thick strips and season with salt and pepper.
  • Melt butter in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Sear beef in batches for 20-30 seconds per side, then set aside.
  • Cook onions until soft, then add garlic and sauté until fragrant. Add mushrooms and cook until golden.
  • Sprinkle flour into skillet, cook 1 minute, then slowly add beef broth, stirring until thickened. Mix in Worcestershire, sour cream, and mustard, cook 4-5 minutes.
  • Return beef to skillet, cook 1 minute, then serve over noodles or rice, garnished with parsley.

Notes

Use high-quality beef for best flavor. Adjust seasoning to taste.
