Instructions
Mix soy sauce, water, ginger, brown sugar, salt, pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder to make the sauce.
Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add beef and cook until browned, about 3-4 minutes.
Add broccoli and red pepper; stir-fry for 3-4 minutes until vegetables are tender-crisp.
Pour in the sauce mixture and bring to a simmer. Mix cornstarch with a little water to make a slurry and add to the skillet to thicken the sauce.
Cook for another 2 minutes until sauce thickens. Serve hot over rice or noodles.
Notes
For a healthier option, use lean beef and reduce the soy sauce amount.
