Instructions
Preheat oven to 350ºF. Line baking sheets with parchment paper.
Combine flour, baking soda, and salt in a medium bowl.
Beat butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until creamy. Add vanilla and eggs, then gradually mix in flour mixture. Stir in chocolate chips.
Chill dough for 24-72 hours. Scoop into 3-tablespoon balls and bake for 11-13 minutes, or until golden brown.
Cool cookies on baking sheets for 5 minutes, then transfer to wire racks to cool completely.
Notes
For thicker, chewier cookies, chill the dough for at least 24 hours before baking.
