Instructions
Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
Mix flour, paprika, garlic powder, and black pepper. Season steaks with salt, dredge in flour mixture.
Sauté onions in 1 tbsp oil until tender; set aside. Sear steaks in remaining oil until browned; set aside.
Make gravy with butter and flour, then gradually add beef broth, whisking until thin. Add thyme and onions, then bake with steaks for 1.5 hours.
Remove thyme, check seasoning, and serve once steaks are tender and gravy thickened.
Notes
Ensure steaks are dry before dredging for better coating.
