Apple Cinnamon Oatmeal

Ingredients
  

Water

  • 1/2 cup water

Apple

  • 1 medium apple cut in half, remove stem/seeds/core

Oats

  • 1/2 cup rolled oats

Sweetener

  • 1+ teaspoon maple syrup

Salt

  • Pinch salt

Cinnamon

  • ΒΌ+ teaspoon ground cinnamon

Instructions
 

  • Boil water in a teapot or kettle.
  • Muddle half the apple in the bowl; slice the other half for topping.
  • Add oats, maple syrup, cinnamon, salt, and hot water; stir and let sit for 5 minutes.
  • Top with sliced apple and serve.

Notes

Feel free to add nuts or additional toppings for extra flavor.
