Ingredients

tomato paste

  • 2 tablespoons tomato paste

garlic

  • 3 cloves garlic (minced)

salt

  • 1 teaspoon salt

dried basil

  • 0.5 teaspoon dried basil

milk

  • 2.5 cups milk

crushed tomatoes

  • 1 can crushed tomatoes (28 oz)

Parmesan cheese

  • 0.5 cup grated Parmesan cheese

Instructions
 

  • Melt butter in a large pot over medium-low heat. Add tomato paste, garlic, salt, basil; cook 1 minute.
  • Whisk in flour, then gradually add milk, whisking constantly. Cook until thickened.
  • Add crushed tomatoes and Parmesan; stir until heated through.
  • Adjust seasoning if needed. Serve hot with basil garnish.
